An Oil and Gas Rig Transportation Permit is required prior to moving a drilling rig within the Town. The permit, when issued, is valid only on those roads under the jurisdiction of the Town. To operate on roads under other jurisdictions, (state highways and county roads) it is necessary to obtain a separate permit from the authorities having jurisdiction thereover. By issuing the Oil and Gas Rig Transportation Permit, the Town will waive the required oversize or overweight permits for the transport of the equipment listed on the permit. The permit is issued for the transport of the oil and gas rig only, and a new permit must be obtained each time the rig is moved. The permit fee for an Oil and Gas Rig Transportation Permit is as set by the fee schedule adopted by resolution. (Ord. 1063 §2, 2011; Ord. 1161 §5, 2013)
