A defendant brought to trial solely upon a traffic infraction or infractions shall have no right to a trial by jury as contemplated by Section 13-10-114, C.R.S., or Rule 223, Municipal Court Rules of Procedure, and trial of civil traffic infractions shall be to the court or, if the charge contemplates a parking infraction, to the designated referee. No defendant found civilly liable for a traffic infraction shall be punished by imprisonment for said infraction. (Ord. 381 § 1, 1977)
