Upon application for a dog or cat license, the furnishing of the required certificate of inoculation and the payment of the required annual fee, the Police Department shall issue a license which shall be numbered and also a metal tag bearing the same number as the license, which tag shall be securely attached to the collar to be worn by the animal so licensed at all times. It shall be an affirmative defense if, in the absence of a collar and tag, a licensed dog or cat is micro chipped and properly licensed with the Town. (Ord. 1100 §3, 2012)
