The applicant for an ambulance license shall furnish, operate, conduct, maintain, advertise or otherwise engage in the business of transporting patients upon the streets and other public ways. The fee is as set by the fee schedule adopted by resolution. The applicant must establish:

(1) A substantial portion of the community is not being adequately provided with ambulance service;

(2) Each ambulance vehicle will be staffed by two (2) driver attendants;

(3) Insurance and all other requirements of all applicable laws and regulations have been met; and

(4) Certification that attendants meet EMT and other requirements of the state. (Ord. 293 §9, 1977; Ord. 1161 §5, 2013)
