(a) Customer Service Standards. The Grantee shall comply with the customer service standards promulgated by the FCC, as well as any applicable customer service standards lawfully adopted and amended from time to time by the Grantor. Any violation of such standards constitutes a violation of this franchise. The Grantee reserves the right to challenge any customer service standard it believes is inconsistent with its contractual rights under this franchise and applicable law.

(b) Subscriber Contracts. The Grantee shall not enter into a contract with any subscriber that is in any way inconsistent with the terms of this franchise or the requirements of any applicable customer service standards.

(c) Subscriber Privacy. The Grantee will comply with privacy rights of subscribers in accordance with 47 U.S.C. § 551, as may from time to time be amended.

(d) Local Office. Unless agreed to in writing with the Town otherwise, the Grantee shall maintain a local office within twenty (20) miles of any subscriber located within the franchise area to provide prompt service related to the cable system. Specific requirements for the local office may be established in any customer service standards as adopted and amended from time to time by the Grantor. (Ord. 731 §1, 2004; Ord. 1053 §5, 2011)
