The Town Manager and Department Heads (such term to include Assistant to the Town Manager, Planning Director, Town Clerk, Town Engineer, Public Works Manager, Finance/HR Director and Chief of Police, hereinafter referred to as Department Heads) shall have the following powers and duties:

(1) Sign such fee agreements and contracts with consultants and vendors for budgeted items after legal review for items fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) and less.

(2) Approve construction contracts after legal review for budgeted items no larger than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00).

(3) Approve change orders for construction contracts after legal review so long as the funds are budgeted and the total of all change orders does not exceed fifteen percent (15%) of the original contract amount or fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00), whichever is greater.

(4) Report all contracts signed to the Board at the next regular Board meeting.

(5) All contracts signed by the Town Manager and Department Heads pursuant to this Section would be subject to the code provisions on appropriations. (Ord. 983 §2, 2009; Ord. 1088 §1, 2012)
