(a) The Town Board, by resolution, may establish commissions, boards, and committees as the Town Board deems fit. Unless otherwise specified in the enacting resolution or this Article, appointments and removals shall be made by the Town Board according to the membership and terms determined by the Town Board in the enacting resolution. Upon its own determination or by recommendation of the Town Manager, the Town Board may dissolve commissions, boards, and committees by resolution.

(b) In recommending, selecting and appointing such members and alternates, the Town Board may in their reasonable discretion conduct such interviews and adopt such selection guidelines and procedures as are reasonably necessary or appropriate, so as to properly evaluate the qualifications of prospective candidates, and accomplish quality appointments.

(c) All members of commissions, boards, and committees (with the exception of staff appointments made by the Board of Trustees) shall serve without compensation. (Ord. 1376 §1, 2022)
