Before entering upon the duties of his or her office, every elected or appointed officer of the Town shall take and subscribe an oath or affirmation that he or she will support the Constitutions of the United States and the State, the laws of the State and the ordinances of the Town; and that he or she will faithfully perform the duties of the office upon which he or she is about to enter.
