A summons is issued by the Court Clerk following the filing of a sworn complaint when it appears from the complaint that there is probable cause to believe that a violation has been committed and that the defendant committed it. The summons need only contain the name of the defendant and the date, time and place of appearance of the defendant. A copy of the complaint shall be served therewith, and a copy of the summons and the complaint shall be supplied to the prosecutor. (Ord. 303 §1-202, 1977)
