A water customer aggrieved by any surcharge placed on his or her water user fee as a result of excessive use of water under the Water Shortage Contingency Plan or for a violation of the mandatory restrictions of Section 13-81 of this Code may appeal, in writing, to the Board of Trustees within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of the bill. The Board of Trustees may sustain the appeal, dismiss the appeal or modify the user surcharge owed and shall decide the appeal within ten (10) working days of its receipt. Notification of the decision shall be in writing and delivered personally or by first class mail. (Ord. 1312 §1, 2019)
